The GEN II range of SVCi Voltage Converters Isolated Maxi are designed on the solid foundation of the original product with a host of new features and benefits.



With digital over analogue topology the GEN II range allows the installer/operator to control and monitor various functions and provides valuable feedback on the status of the connected load. The GEN II is more compact due to multi-speed fan cooling and as a result no longer relies on convection for cooling.

Galvanic isolation ensures there is no common connectivity between the input and output via positive or negative conductors. This means peace-of-mind when connecting sensitive and often expensive, high-end electronic equipment to the output.

  • Output Voltage (Converter Mode) – The voltage output is user selectable in 0.5V increments from 12.0V to 14.0V. The factory default is 13.0V which can be changed at any time.
  • Output Voltage (Charger Mode) – Two stage battery charging mode with boost voltage of 14.4V and float of 13.6V.
  • Input Voltage – Minimum start-up voltage is 20VDC but will allow input dip down to 17V during operation. Maximum input voltage is 33VDC.
  • Alarm Devices – Pre-emptive warning for impending shutdown due to output overload, input under voltage and over temperature. All alarm conditions are output to external source for remote monitoring. – Failure warning of internal cooling fan due to obstruction, fault, damage, etc. Condition is output to external source for remote monitoring.

About Intervolt

Since 1989, Amelec Australia has been a major importer and distributor of specialised electrical and electronic equipment, including Intervolt products, for the marine and automotive industries.

In the year 2000, Amelec recognized the need for high quality, marine grade, voltage converters to service the 24V - 12V DC power conversion market. Unable to source a suitable product from Australia or overseas, we embarked on an ambitious project to develop and produce our own range for the commercial marine market.  Our first interVOLT product, the Maxi SVC Series was born and introduced to the market in May 2001.

Since then, Amelec have introduced our acclaimed range of DC-DC Power Conditioners, Battery Equalisers, Voltage Stabilisers and Lighting Dimmers in both Maxi and Mini Series.

We are housed in our new R&D centre in Western Australia and continue with the design and development of exciting and innovative projects for the specialised DC market. With the new projects we have under development and our philosophy to maintain quality-at-value products we are confident of interVOLT becoming an international name in the power management and conversion market in the near future.
