A design collaboration like no other Ricochet based on an original Farrier design this yacht has evolved to be a masterpiece of engineering and architectural design. From conception to launch the Sydney design house of Burley Katon Halliday have guided the aesthetics whilst acclaimed naval architects Murray, Burns and Dovell have ensured the final specification and build deliver the highest levels of comfort, safety and performance.
Ricochet is one of Barrenjoey Marine Electrics signature projects. From Ricochet’s original build BME has been involved with the electronics & electrical design and installation for this super stylish vessel.
Ricochet’s systems have been tailored to suit its muilti hull layout. These systems include:
- Automatic water transfer systems to transfer fresh water from hull to hull for ballast.
- Automatic tank selection for the desalination.
- Automatic Desalination start feature when water supply gets low.
- Automatic generator start when power supply gets low.
- Wireless Laptop navigation system including radar, AIS & Auto Pilot integration.
- B&G Instrumentation & Autopilot
- Furuno Radar and Chartplotter
- Back to base security alarm system.
- Elegant interior & exterior lighting
- Wireless internet & Satellite systems
BME has over the years created a detailed document based on the electrical systems wiring diagram and procedures document making life easy when it comes to understanding Ricochet’s systems.
BME continues to provide its services onboard Ricochet today.
Products Used
- Blue Water Express Watermaker with an electronic controller and LED indicators, the Express Series units allow for simple semi-automatic operation use, whilst enabling interaction with hands on owners via the traditional switches and manual pressure valve.
