The Garmin Signal VHF 400 is a premium fixed-mount marine VHF radio featuring a 3.5" colour touchscreen with edge-to-edge glass — an industry first. It is the top model in the Signal series, combining DSC distress calling, Class B AIS transponder (transmit and receive), integrated GPS, and advanced machine-learning noise cancellation in one compact helm unit. The built-in AIS transponder transmits your vessel's name, position, course and speed to nearby AIS-equipped vessels and displays range, course, speed and crossing situation of other vessels on screen. A single VHF antenna handles all VHF, DSC and AIS functions, minimising antenna runs. The GPS receiver is built into the unit — no external GPS sensor required. Background scanning continuously monitors all channels while you hold watch on Channel 16 and your preset favourites. VHF audio playback lets you replay missed transmissions for up to 3 minutes. Machine learning algorithms eliminate wind, wave and engine noise for the clearest audio experience on the market. Connects seamlessly to compatible chartplotters via NMEA 2000 and Garmin BlueNet. Supports the Garmin Signal RM 100 remote station for multi-station control from a secondary helm or flybridge. Supports 12V and 24V electrical systems.
