The Icom IC-M510E EVO is the flagship evolution of Icom's award-winning IC-M510 series — a premium, feature-rich fixed-mount VHF/DSC marine radio that integrates a built-in AIS receiver, NMEA 2000 connectivity, 25W two-way hailer/20W RX hailer, built-in WLAN, Class D DSC and a wide-viewing-angle colour TFT display into a single, slim unit. Winner of the iF Design Award 2022, the IC-M510E EVO has a sleek design suited to modern black glass cockpit dashboards and can be panel or trunnion mounted. The built-in WLAN module allows up to three smartphones to act as wireless microphones or remote controllers via the RS-M500 app (iOS/Android) — enabling full radio control from anywhere aboard, including below decks or on the coach roof, without additional hardware. The AIS receiver displays real-time vessel traffic directly on the colour screen; individual DSC calls can be placed directly to AIS targets without manually entering MMSI numbers. The NMEA 2000 network connection provides plug-and-play integration with chartplotters and MFDs — sharing GPS position, AIS data, DSC call information and radio channel data across the network. The integrated 25W two-way hailer allows communication with crew on deck or ashore via the optional SP-37 speaker horn; the 20W RX hailer monitors radio traffic through the deck speaker. Foghorn patterns are also available. An internal GNSS receiver (GPS/GLONASS) provides position data for DSC calls and navigation. IP68 rated to 1 m for 60 minutes.
