IRIS001 Twin Camera Module

The IRIS001 is unlike any other marine camera on the market. In 2002 Iris set out to redefine the roll of on-board cameras and produce a docking camera system specifically for boats, as opposed to simply taking ugly and unsuitable domestic camera products that would inevitably not last any longer than the maiden voyage…

Inside the IRIS001 there are TWO miniature 3.6mm colour cameras, each mounted onto a three way fully adjustable bracket, in effect, providing a similar view as if the boat was fitted with “Chameleon’s eye”s” with cameras on both sides of the craft.

The camera housing sits on a rubber mounting boot to help cushion the vibration from the boats engines when manoeuvring and to provide protection to both the boats surface and the camera.

Initially conceived to be used in pairs with a quad switcher (IRIS604) so that the combined four cameras would display both port and starboard side aft and forward images, customers have also found the 001 to be the perfect solution to monitor wide aft deck areas or swimming platforms by mounting the camera sideways on. It’s also the perfect low profile solution for monitoring the comings and goings along companionways or walkways.
