The Simrad HS65 GNSS compass delivers high-precision heading with better than 2° RMS accuracy, providing stable navigation data that is immune to the magnetic interference affecting traditional compasses. It combines a GNSS receiver and heading sensor in a single compact unit, so there are fewer components to install and a cleaner result.
Multi-constellation GNSS support — GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS — provides accurate heading and position data wherever you cruise, keeping radar overlays aligned, charts correctly oriented and autopilot steering smooth.
A dual-layer backup system maintains heading if the GNSS signal is temporarily lost: built-in dead reckoning holds a reliable heading for up to three minutes before the HS65 switches automatically to magnetic backup. The magnetic backup function may be influenced by magnetic interference.
The low-profile housing suits modern vessel styling and can be direct mounted from underneath, flat mounted from above or pole mounted (pole mount sold separately). It connects to the rest of the system over NMEA 2000.
The HS65 is a replacement option for the discontinued Simrad HS70.
